Is Julia dead? Sabrina's mother mentions "the memory of your sister" and Sabrina makes a shooting-a-gun motion at Julia's portrait. Did Sabrina kill Julia?

Yeah I didn't get it. They never resolved the sister issue. You never found out what her beef was. What was Sabrina's motivation?

I think Sabrina resented everyone thinking her sister was a saint, and felt she could never live to others' expectations that she follow her sister's example. But they never say what became of Julia.

I assumed that Sabrina had somehow killed Julia, or at least was involved tangentially in her demise.

No Julia is not dead remember there was a part when Sebrina is talking to her mother. She was at the front desk were the house mother was standing? Sebrina says something to her mother saying say Hi to my beloved sister Julia. So she's not dead very much alive as for her pretending to shot her sister. It's Sebrina's twisted way to knock her off her pedestal in her mind.
