For the simple fact his wife stays with him

....makes her such a pitiable woman. Any man who would react to his wife being a rape victim the way her husband did.....what a poor, sad excuse for a man. I know that there are men and women who exist who are reflections of these fictional characters...it's just hard to imagine such spinelessness.
