Anti Climatic Ending

Spoiler alter.

I like this film, but think the ending is a bit anti climatic. Our hero's are just left on the mountain waiting to be rescued.

Thing is I'm wondering how long they had to wait...... f*** FBI agents couldn't fit them in the helicopter? LOL

I like how this movie is action from start to finish, and they don’t waste time showing him getting married or something at the end.

Yeah it needed some kind of resolution - like how about addressing the fact that their pal Frank got brutally murdered, along with the skydiver kids (although one made it to hospital ‘in critical condition’)

As if the accidental death of Sarah at the beginning wasn’t traumatic enough, now most of their other friends are dead and they’ve had seven shades of shit beaten out of them, yet they’re cracking lighthearted quips on top of the mountain.

Some kind of resolution between Hal and Gabe (Hal clearly no longer hates Gabe) would have been nice.

Renny Harlin did the same thing in Die Hard 2 - hundreds of innocent people murdered and yet we’re supposed to be all smiles and singing along to ‘Let It Snow’ 🤷🏻‍♂️

yes they follow shallow movie tropes of "everything ok as long as main characters survives". many movie follow this to let audience go home on high notes.

best example of this is in independance day. half of world is gone, world economy probably collapse, and everyone is laughing and smiles as credits roll to upbeats music hahahah.
