i have this coming

i have this coming in my netflix soon. i work with the mentally ill population. I have a caseload of roughly 30 people with some form of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. my question is, will i enjoy this film or just get pissed at the inaccuracies of the portrayal of mental illness? i see the comparison to spider. i really enjoyed spider, so is that an indicator of this film?

Hello, Push and Walker,

I found this film to be a brilliant portrait of a man whose mind is slowly unravelling -- and *we never learn why*.

All we are told about him is that HE says he's paranoid. And he vividly shows that paranoia.

But the film never tells us exactly what is wrong in his brain.

I watched this film twice before buying it so that I can watch it again. Peter Greene does such an amazing job, don't you think?

I'm the one who added the quotes to the IMDb, and I hope I interested people without spoiling too much.

Happy New Year to us all,
Fiona

Um, Fiona...It tells us exactly what's going on in his head...

Yes it does. We HEAR what's going on in his head.

It seemed to be an accurate depiction of the agony a schizophrenic must go through on a daily basis. But I'm not a doctor, so I don't know. You will have to decide for yourself if you like it once you've watched it.
