Dated but still good.

I remember this movie when it was on tv, I was 12 when it aired. For some reason I thought of it recently and looked up where to find it. I am a Civil War buff and wanted to see some other films. I bought it on ebay from the UK and got it today after about two weeks. The DVD format wouldn't work on my ps3 so I had to watch it on my laptop! It is definitely dated and fairly low budget looking but for a made for tv movie in 93 that's what you would expect. I still enjoyed it and it was interesting to see Josh Lucas and Clive Owen in it who are big stars now. I didn't remember them in it because I (and no one else) knew who they were back then. It could have been longer but again made for tv so it had time constraints. If you like history and come across this film I recommend it.

The story line is worthy of a mini-series. Good to see some now prominent actors as young folks.

I too would've liked to of seen this is a miniseries. The premise is great. It was just so low budget and only 90 minutes.

I came across an old article that explains this was the first of 13 episodes but ABC took a pass and aired just a 2 hour movie instead.
