Has there EVER been a proper NTSC release?

Every NTSC release I know of is cut and the music replaced. Has this film ever been released uncut with English subtitles or at least NTSC and widescreen, uncut?

All I know is that there's no Hong Kong release of this movie, have never seen a DVD not even a VCD or VHS version for sale during th elast 10 years.

UNCUT and english-subtitled? Look for "Project S" on amazon uk, it's dirt cheap, I know I'm getting it.

That DVD is an abomination. I purchased it years ago and threw it away. It's a very bad case of noise reduction turned up to 100% and that = an impossible task to compress for DVD, especially when released by a cheap fly-by-night company. the results are nothing but motion trails, ghosting and blur. It's bad. Really bad.

I realiy this is kind of a late reply, I had all but forgotten about this.

I've now had that R2UK MIA release for a few months now, I've watched the movie and while I agree that it has all kinds of things against it, it's still the only way to watch the uncut version with its original soundtrack and english subtitles.

Can't be too picky with HK movies, the uncut versions of movies that were picked up by Miramax are rarely as good-looking...

EDIT: I've just notice that a rip from the French release is available on YouTube, looks like a proper film to pal conversion, much better than my MIA release but it probably doesnt have English sub on it.
