I love Dukakis,Kazan, and enjoy their roles in this film; Life does have ups and downs, and we need friends and family to help ease the pain of those sticky situations. Doris & Selma are tried and true friends who are there for each other.

I watched this a few years ago on tv, good movie.

It's a very good movie, with fine performances by Ellen Burstyn and Olympia Dukakis. I bought it in a thrift store for $2, and it was money well spent. It would appeal to fans of "The Golden Girls" or, more recently, "Boynton Beach Bereavement Club."

I found it for $2 at Target today and watched it tonight. It was good - mildly depressing, but heartwarming and true to life. I enjoyed it very much. =)

If you likes the dark humor of this movie, (I loved it)...rent Boynton Beach Club....I would also recommend Steel Magnolias the cemetery scene is a laugh riot!
