Was the scene where the sister pees real?

See question

reply

umm i'm not sure if I'm thinking of the same scene as you (the one with jack dressed in that bee keeper suit thing) but if I am then I don't think that was pee.

reply

So your saying shes a gusher. I'm pretty sure she did pee herself, although I don't thing she did it for real.

reply

Seems like she had an orgasm...Doesn't take her long. This movie shows more than that Hound Dog movie with Dakota Fanning. So why doesn't anyone cry about this movie???

reply

Because it's British and we're probably more mature over here?

No, I know!

i misunderstood you.

True, but I'm from South Wales in the UK and to be fair Britain has created some really ground breaking and disturbing films and TV shows from the 1950's TV production of 1984 & Quatermass to A Clockwork Orange and beyond.

But our problem has been with censorship and the critics who decide what we're allowed to see, which then led to many films being banned here a few years back.

Much of that has been relaxed now thankfully, but we do like disturbing tales without the sugar coated happy ending all the time and I find that far more entertaining than the endless driving off into the sunset and living happily ever after style endings.

So The Cement Garden is an excellent example of that with it's warped storyline and tragic ending.

Oops! I'm really an idiot, I misread you. I assumed you were American and when you wrote "over here" I thought you meant the U.S.A. and were calling the British less mature. That's why I said, "You wish!" I very much agree with your last post about sugar coating and sunsets, and I love the Cement Garden. Then again, it not particular English in story, just in chance and by filmakers.

Definitely pee. Read the book and you'd know that.

reply

because this actress was in her twenties at the time...

reply

I read this discussion awhile ago, but never commented on the actual question... it was pee. All that tickling...it was pee!

reply

Well for one thing, Dakota Fanning was around 13 when Hounddog came out while Charlotte Gainsbourg was 22. And even Julie (Gainsbourg's character in The Cement Garden) was, at a guess, sixteen or so.

reply

In the novel it was urine, not female ejaculate. Tho I don't quite understand the question. Are you seriously asking if the actress wet herself for real?

reply

[deleted]

No offense to the misunderstanding of the scene, But how can anybody not really understand whether she peed or orgasmed? When being tickled, one (commonly the female in my experience) tends to scream 'I'm gonna pee--STOP!' In this scene, Charlotte goes very quiet and starts breathing hard and everything.
Like I said, no offense, but the differences are pretty plain.

reply

She doesn´t pee. She had an orgasm (obviously acting).

reply

No, Julie peed. Why else would the sheets between her legs be yellow and soaked?

reply

the book says she peed, so she peed.
the end.

reply

i always thought that she had cum too! oh well.

reply

i mean if you didn't read the book first then i guess i can kind of understand how you'd think it was an orgasn?

but had i not read the book, i'd probably still assume that she pissed herself because that just makes sense. you tickle someone violently without stopping and they either pee or it just starts to hurt. i remember lots of kids falling victim to the same thing back in my playground days.

even if it were an orgasm, most females won't release fluid in such excess during one unless, erm, a lot of things that clearly DIDN'T happen during this scene actually happened.

reply

Well if she's wetting herself then she really seems to be enjoying it.

reply

pee.

reply

My words our of your mouth. Thank you. If any of you perverts read the book, you'd know that she peed by now. I don't even understand why you guys are even asking this question. That's just sex obsessed as hell, trying to convince yourselves that every single scene in the movie implies something sexual. Besides, since when does ANYONE orgasm because of being tickled? I know the book and movie's pretty graphic, but use your common sense. Boys, read a book about sex. Girls, try getting someone to tickle you and try to orgasm that way.

Oh and as for what was really going on, while I'm sure that in the book it did say that she peed, I think the director was going for something else. If your wondering why the copious amounts of yellow (if you say so) liquid on the bed....I have a term to enter into your search engines:

Orgasmic Incontinence

If you're under the age of 18 though, you might not want to search that one....
