was this movie remotely accurate?

I've heard of this story before. From what I heard, the girl had an affair with a married man and they both decided to kill her. Then I saw Amy Fisher in some interviews last year and she said that he took advantage of her, she was only 16 and was taking all the blame. Then I see this movie and she's a sociopath and he never even sleeps with her. I looked it up on crime library and some other sites, they all said they had an affair. So why does this movie portray it differently, that she was obsessed with him? I find everything in this movie hard to believe, especially since they can't even spell her name right. The father wants A I M E E written on the car. What gives?

Hi Kim!!! OK, I am an AMY Fisher nut. I am her age, and grew up watching this unfold. We were both graduating HS at the same time.

Truth (read her book: The Amy Fisher Story) I read it when I was 17...and reread it about a month ago. Also there were THREE movies on this on the SAME night back then. ABC, CBS & NBC all wanted in on this fiasco. EACH channel had their own movie depicting 3 different sides. 1) Amy Fisher's Side 2) JOEY's Side & 3)The Media's Side.

The truth is he did play with her mind (She was 16 and vulnerable) and they did have a long ongoing affair with him basically taking advantage of her weaknesses as a "teenager in love"...it's a fascinating subject. The entire process of their saga is well worth a good read.

So hope that helps.

The three movies were:

CBS: Casualties of Love, The Long Island Lolita Story (alyssa milano stars)
...CBS was the BUTTOFUOCO's SIDE of the STORY

NBC: "Amy Fisher: My Story," (starring Noelle Parker) is AMY's SIDE (FISHER'S SIDE of the STORY)

ABC: "The Amy Fisher Story" (starring Drew Barrymore) is the multiple view/Media's view of the story

Hey Ali! Miss you too. Thanks for the info. I didn't see the other two movies, but my guess is this one is the least accurate lol.

Even though this is an old thread, I'm curious, what is your opinion based on? When I saw her in an interview a few years ago, she did not come off as an evil bitch.
