Ladies: Was this Pacino's 'best-looking' film?

I've always loved him and thought he was hottt. Do you think this film was his hottest looking?

"Hey guys! Whoa, Big Gulps huh? All right! Well, see ya later!" Dumb & Dumber

reply

Yes, I think so. I hated him in Scarface and Cruising. Loved him in Author!Author! and ...And Justice for All.

But, yes, the sculpted beard and leather jacket "look" was a nice touch for this character.

reply

Nah, Godfather I and II for me.

70s Al Pacino makes me swoon like NO other man! But I also find him good looking well into the 90s. Here's a little list of the "looks" that I love best.

1. "Serpico" - All around, he is strikingly BEAUTIFUL in this film. His hair, THOSE EYES!!!
2. "The Panic in Needle Park" - He looks so boyishly cute with an impish sparkle in his eyes.
3. "Dog Day Afternoon" - He looks very adorable and as usual, charismatic as hell.
4. "...And Justice for All" - Al has a combination of boyish cute and mature handsome.
5. "The Godfather" - His looks BREATHTAKING in his scenes when Michael is in Sicily and "stuck by lightening." ;-)
6. "Sea of Love" - Not his best look, but he was pretty damn sexy in this one.
7. "Scarface" - I find him quite dynamic and sexy as Tony Montana. To me, the finale is very hot. He's just so electric....on fire!
8. "Carlito's Way" - I loved his style in this film. The black leather trench coat, the lush dark hair and beard...I believe it was the last time that Al looked REALLY vital and gorgeous.
9. "The Godfather II" - Though I don't enjoy the very cold, stone-faced "Michael Corleone," I must admit he never looked more dapper.

So, most gorgeous = "Serpico" or "The Godfather." Most charismatic, cute and charming = "The Panic" or "Dog Day Afternoon." Most sexy? Hmm...that's a good question. I feel like Al Pacino had the potential to be intensely sexy in nearly every one of his films from the early 70s through the mid 90s, but I honestly never felt that he was paired with a leading lady that could match his beauty or charisma. He's often been paired with average-looking or "mousy" women...or he's paired with lovely women that he just doesn't seem to have that fire-like chemistry with. I don't know why....If he had been, the heat would've been something incredible to behold! Instead, he rarely does "love scenes" and when he has, they often feel or look either awkward or just not believable.

Great descriptions, c hart. I'm afraid if I attempted a list like this, I'd just melt into a puddle on the floor thinking about how hot Al is and never get the post made.

I say, in my opinion, it must be The Godfather. Never is he more sexy than as Michael Corleone.

For 'Serpico', Al Pacino should get the 'Worst Dressed Male Lead' award.

Oh, I dunno... Ellen Barkin was pretty damn hot!

I think it depends which other movies you compare him to. for instance, i didn't think he was attractive for a second in Scarface!
i think with age he's getting sexier too

Do guys like "the thing"?
They like it better than no thing.

reply

Al Pacino looks the best in the film 'Dog Day Afternoon'. Very cute!

I think he's pretty sexy I everything he's done...I'm a huge 70's fan although I was born in 1974 and they really don't make men like him anymore. Jason Statham is about as close and he's not as tough.

Those eyes though...wow. Just wow.
