Why didn't he take the deal?

He only failed because he dud not kill Benny Blanco. If he had taken the drugs deal the DA would have put him straight back into jail. He was p probably going to have major problems with the Italian family though.

Yeah, Carlito's only problem was that he held himself to a street code of honor that was no longer being honored by those around him any more. His mistake was in giving too much of his loyalty to a person that didn't deserve it, that's all.

Wouldn't be a very exiting movie if he did lol.
