Bought this movie for $2

Found it in a discount bin at Superstore. Poor university students needs more moments like these. It was wonderful.

I love finds like that. So what did you think of it?

The movie was incredible. What I found most intriguing about it was the use of silence in the film. It's so haunting and yet it speaks so well in its silence. I feel like I've felt everything these characters felt, albeit in different conditions, but it was so realistic in that sense. The thought of the filmmaker as the ignored figure in the story, the one pushed into the outskirts of his own creation, is so interesting. I'm so glad I got this, the film is definitely worth way more than a measly toonie!

Agreed. I've also experienced that trapped feeling in a relationship and the locked-off camera really captures the claustrophobia. If anything, it was hard to watch because it was so powerful, the characters so grotesque (in a very human way). Definitely a film deserving of a wider audience.

I know what you mean, but on the other hand, it does make these films a low-risk investment for people who might not have discovered them yet and a way to gain new fans. I've discovered films I'd never have seen otherwise because they were in the $2 bin at the supermarket.
