Why don't more people like or know about this movie? This is Chris Rock's best movie by far... It is a little dated but for the time it came out it was groundbreaking.

I agree! I'm not even a Chris Rock fan, but this film is a classic!!!!!!! The dialogue was straight, the plot and story were perfect, and the acting wasn't that bad! This film should have at least a 7.1

This movie has so much more meaning now than when I first saw it in '93 and is still relevant in it's message, which I think went over alot of people's heads.
shareCouldn't agree more. It's obviously the subject matter that puts a lot of people off, as it deals with gangsta rap. But hey, it's their loss, not ours! This was one of the best farce films of the 90's (and beyond) and the fact that Chris Rock played the lead and absolutely killed makes it that much better. The haters, or those who just don't get it never will. Cool with me though, just makes it easier to identify the people I like to avoid in life!

shareno. fear of a black hat uses a broader spectrum of the 90s rap scene as a target, while CB4 specifically focusses on gangster rap and for the most part on NWA specifically.
also it had a different kind of humor to it. CB4 went more towards the naked gun route, while FOABH i would rather compare to hollywood shuffle.
