Mrs. Anello disappearing

I always found it funny when Lorenzo was going to bring the money back and his wife says, "Well, let's just think about this for a minute." She said what I bet most wives would say. I know Calogero's mother wasn't supposed to be an important part of the story, but they never explained how she just disappeared. Did she leave? Did she die? I remember how you never see her after Lorenzo brings back the money. She was very against it and she even had her doubts about Lorenzo not taking the job that Sonny offered him. She said in both instances, "We could use the money." I also remember when C got mad at his father later in the movie and he yelled, "WHAT BETTER LIFE? We don't even own a car! We ain't got money! We ain't got nothin'!" Maybe Lorenzo's wife felt the same way. My guess is, Calgero's mother left Lorenzo and that's why she was never seen again in the movie.

I don't think she left him or died. It is said that they met at a dance and fell in Love. The scenes they are in together you see no fighting or bad feelings. Also, you think if she died or would have been mentioned as that's kind of something that would affect both of them. My thinking is she was there and fine, but just not in the scenes.

I get what you're saying, but yeah it does bother me to how she just sorta "disappears" from the movie.
