Oranges and Sunshine

This is a newly released film based on the work of a social worker, Margaret Humphreys, who developed the Child Migrants Trust. She has worked tirelessly with the children (now adults) who were shipped from England to Australia (and other countries) in the 1940's, 1950's and earlier. Athough the majority of the children were ill treated and abused, the boys especially suffered traumatic sexual abuse by the Christian Brothers in Bindoon and Clontarf near Perth, Western Australia. Margaret Humphreys wrote a book Empty Cradles which details these events and a Child Migrants Trust website enables the reader to catch up with current events

I can understand there being evil people in the world who would treat those boys so terribly, but for them to pose as men of God while they did it is the height of hippocracy!
