No, different true story: Mount Cashel's Roman Catholic Orphanage in Newfoundland.

This movie is also about a hundred times better than Sleepers.

I don't know, but it definitely reminded me of Sleepers, except for a couple of small things like how in The Boys of St. Vincent, the priests are the abusers and a police officer tries to help them, and in Sleepers, the prison guards are the abusers and a priest tries to help them. Also the fact that Sleepers was one movie instead of two parts, but yeah, a lot of similarities.
