Why is there no JJ in the 1950 version of "Born Yesterday." Did Max truly walk on his hands in that scene or was it a stunt double? That's my second favorite scene. I wonder what Max was like on the set.Howdid Max Perlich get the role of JJ?

There kind of was. In the 1950 version, Harry has 2 helpers, Jim Devery and Eddie. Jim was the guy who handled all of Harry's business, and Eddie was Harry's cousin, who doubled as a sort of valet. In the 1993 version, the characters were Ed Devery and JJ. Switched around a bit in name, is all, but the characters seem to be the same.
