Why didn't Billie want Paul to take the documents to the paper to expose Harry? I mean I just didn't get it,after everything he did to her why was she trying to protect him?
When she saw that Paul hadn't taken them to the paper after all she said "I'm gonna marry him, casue he finally smartened up" So what did she mean by that exactly?

I just don't get that part,did I miss something?

Someone please expalin.

She didnt love Harry. I'm just curoius to why she didnt want him exposed.

Of course she loved Harry, they had a long history together. She didn't want him to get into trouble even after he mistreated her. Her behavior wasn't exactly out of the ordinary for a person like herself. Besides, she was guilty of some things too.

when you make a story public he the man harry brock
may have found an allie or two..
..but is highly unlikely
but you never know these things..

for example if you bought a ring and told somebody else
before the party in question (thinking salacious thoughts here)
it might start a rumor mill
some people might use a third party for advice

strong or interesting movie scripts use innuendo
in fact that's what makes the movie watchable in this case

good crimes are fool proof and detectives wont ever
find any clues which link a person to a crime
