What a shock to see this message board is almost all empty!
I just watched this film and came to see people's reactions about it. I think this can easily be on my top5 underrated films of all time.
Danny Glover and especially Alfre Woodard (again) give Oscar worthy performances.
And nice to see Mr. Freeman can make it behind the camera aswell!
As a South African I was pleasantly surprised how authentic and gripping it was. But I think it didnt get the respect it deserved in marketing when it came out internationally.
Wonder why Freeman never bothered to direct again. He did a great job with this.

I agree. I saw this on television today and was quite impressed. Deeply saddened by the film's story but impressed with the acting. Well done overall.
