I loved this film and the great performances. I cannot understand why so many low marks. Hopper, Mortenson, Snipes, etc.. Hell, I don't care what anybody else thinks, but it does shock me that it has like a 4.6 ranking, this film was solid, no way anything under 7.

shareViggo steals the movie! He is a stone cold killer in this one.

Viggo has a secondary role as the dumb muscle working for Red Diamond, a slick con man fresh out of jail. Hopper steals this movie as Red Diamond, a character I will not soon forget. I love his broad gestures, his red hair, his suits, his patter "And That Is No Lie!"
Hopper should have had top billing and the role of the treasury agent (Wesley Snipes) should have been cut down to just provide the tension and background of feds being after Red. The whole story should have just centered around Red and Ronnie and their parallel relationships with their women, as well as the twisted relationship between the two players themselves. The cop and his family situation was just a distraction and took away from the real story.
