where do they get the first 50? just seems like they get a random phone call about a dodgy 50 and it just happens to point them the right way!!
shareThe first fifty they would have got from Ronnie when they initially set up the deal. Ronnie would have given it to Russo (the cop he killed) to show that he had counterfeit bread. It was only luck that they managed to match it to Freddy Roth's batch of counterfeit stuff -- but that is the point of the film -- sometimes police work is luck!
