Julianne Moore was the hot one

I can't believe that everyone is so fixated on Madonna's sex scenes that no mention is made of Moore's sex scene. Talk about realistic. The one scene she does outshines any of Madonna's scenes which were laughable IMO. Moore looked good enough to eat.

Julianne's scene looked very real to me.

Julianne Moore is one of the hottest women in film. She is beautiful, sexy, and has nipples you want to... well you get the idea.

reply

i concur!

reply

She's good looking but lets face it Madonna is the sex symbol

reply

Yeah, but Ms. Moore looked better in the film.

reply

Nope, she's just a lonely ginge in the film

reply

Julianne should have had the lead role. Hell Anne Archer was sexier than Madonna...I don't get why people think Madonna was sexy in this. Bad hair, Ugly teeth, and old hands. Also her "sex appeal" was nothing sexy at all...oooh she's touching herself...no woman ever does that. Cmon a mannequin would have delivered the lines better than Madonna.

Why couldn't they get someone who was sexy...like Linda Fiorentino, or someone anyone but that desperate no talent clown.

reply

only cuz she spent her career getting naked and trying to be sexy. that's most of what it takes to be a sex symbol.

now madonna is a washed up hag, and moore is still beautiful and talented.

I agree. The casting of Madonna in the lead role ruins it. It isn't just that she isn't a good actor, it transcends that; it sounds like a wooden reading from a person who isn't trying to act and doesn't understand what they are reading or where the emphasis goes (see Keanu Reeves). It isn't just that Madonna can't act, either. If she were the greatest actress of all time, this movie still would not work. Madonna wasn't NEARLY young enough or beautiful enough to be the femme fatale here. Be serious, any toothpaste commercial has three women who are prettier than she is. Worse, the (presumably homely) wife who loses her husband to this serial homewrecker/murderer is played by Julianne Moore, who, at the time this was made, was approximately 800,000 times better looking than Madonna!

Julianne is pushing 50 herself and still looks hot. I have a wallpaper of her sitting a bench, legs spread, wearing a very thin red and black dress.

HOT STUFF!

Oh9, you're late to the party.

We weren't discussion Julianne Moore's suitability for a role she wasn't in, she played the wife and we all agree that she played it well.

We were discussing the laughable casting of Madonna as the femme fatale in a major motion picture. Forget that she's no actress, she wasn't nearly good looking enough or young enough.

For a second opinion, see the femme fatale in any other movie!!!

She was definitely the hot one. Although I thought Madonna despite her not so good performance looked good but not as good as Julianne

I like Julianne as an actress but one criticism in this, that hairstyle made her look much older.

I agree that Julianne Moore is beautiful, but honestly, Madonna in 1992 was the most sexually attractive person that ever lived. Ok, she's not a great actress, and I don't like her music, but her body was incredible, and I think her attitude to sex is refreshing. Frankly, I'd crawl through a mile of broken glass to have her pour hot candle wax on my cobblers. Can't believe how lucky Willem Dafoe was to be in this movie. And he got PAID.

reply

If only this was cast with Moore in Madonna’s place (and a court extra taking over Moore’s role), fully partaking in all those scenes. I would have happily killed a few people to see that.

reply

I just watched the movie again the other day and I still can't picture myself choosing Madonna over her.

reply

Gentlemen, please. This is what Madonna looked like in 1992:

Look at that body! Any man who says he wouldn't roll over and beg for that, is deluding himself, imho.

reply

I was referring to Madonna within the context of the movie and her character in the movie.

reply

Fair enough. I agree that Julianne Moore is a very attractive woman. It just irritates me slightly when you have guys say things like "Madonna? Meh. I'd give her one if she asked me nicely", when you know that in reality if they ever got within 10 feet of her they'd be drooling.

reply

I think Madonna was far and away sexier and hotter than Julianne Moore, I never found her attractive to be honest.

Y'know, I could eat a peach for hours

reply

I'd say all three are attractive. Madonna, Julianne Moore and Anne Archer.
