...is the main character listed as "Black Jack"? Oh wait, it's because both he, and the film are actually named "Black Jack", and this is just another in the extremely long list of examples of IMDb unnecessarily re-romanizing the title to a Japanese film when it is ALREADY IN ENGLISH. The title of the film is BLACK JACK not "Burakku jakku". Those aren't even japanese words. They're just the Japanese way of writing the ENGLISH words "Black Jack", just like "samurai" isn't an english word, just the English approximation of the original Japanese word. Should we expect them to advertise the film "The Last Samurai" with some made up nonexistent word that kind of sounds like the incorrect english pronunciation of "samurai"? No, they would just use the proper Japanese form of the word, because to do anything else is idiotic.

"Black Jack" is just the English translation. The film is actyally Japanese.

The OP is right... "Black Jack" is the name of the film. That's how it's written in the title sequence... it needs no translation. Certainly not this retarded "burakku jakku" business.

Same goes with "Battle Royale" and several other films.

So you are saying that you think "Black Jack" is the accurate translation of the "original" Japanese title of "Burakku Jakku"? That's hilarious. Say "Burakku Jakku" out loud and you will sound like a 1940's WWII era racist version of a Japanese person trying to say "black jack". "Burakku Jakku" ISN'T REAL JAPANESE. The film is called "Black Jack". The Japanese creators of the film used those actual English words as the title. A Japanese speaking person trying to pronounce those English words might sound A LITTLE BIT like they are saying "Burakku Jakku", but that doesn't mean that is the way to properly write the title in English. It was named in English to begin with, and it should still be listed in the correct English.
