Viz messed up the Sailor Moon R movie DUBB. Not surprised.

So Sailor Moon R is playing in limited theaters for 1 week and I had the honor of seeing it today even though I hate the new Viz dubb actors. Anyways, it wasn't that bad, but certain thinks needed a more mature touch to it. Instead, Viz has certain lines in Japanese translated word for word into English and it comes off campy and DUMB!!!!

So in the R movie, Tuxedo Mask throws his signature rose at Fiore and disabling him. Fiore responds: He threw a ROSE at me!!!

That is straight up DUMB and CORNY. It sounds fine when you say that line in Chinese or Japanese, but it has a different flare when said in English. The audience kept laughing at certain lines that wasn't intended to be funny.

I understand you want to stick close to the original source, but Americanizing is NOT a SIN!!!!!!

They can make Ranma funny, but can't with Sailor Moon. Thanks, VIZ!!!!!!!!
