Lily Tomlin...

... was fantastic in this movie!

Timing the police to see how long it takes for them to arrive to the house: "Two minutes and forty six seconds". The way she walks and opens the door for the CEO, even when she stops people when he is stepping out of the elevator.

Or, when Jethro says he can walk her to the door, she turns around and stops for a couple of seconds before saying: "Well, thank you Jethro".

She's great!

I love her in this movie. I loved her facial expressions. I think her and Jethro were made for each other.

i love her in everything else BUT this. she was horrible, overacting and mugging and that dumb particular look she'd give - can't explain it but she does it a lot. she sucks in this.

Oh, I love her in everything, including this! She always manages to be terrific.

I couldn't disagree more, she was fantastic. She played the character very well. I think you don't like the character she played more than the acting job she did.

That is how the character of Jane Hathaway was. No problem if you have not, but did you ever see the original series and the way the character was? Similar in most ways, but Tomlin did have some uniqueness to make jane her own.

I just watched it for the first time and her interpretation of Miss Jane was spot on. Nancy Culp could not have done it better.
