Some interesting 'versus' questions:

1. How would Erik Robert's character "Grady" I think have done against Brakus? He was a marginally better fighter than that pudgy guy Brakus killed (Chris Pen) so would he at least have been able to put up a fight? Obviously he would lose since Tommy Lee was barely able to beat Brakus but I just mean put up some kind of fight.

2. How would DeHan have done against Brakus? He is basically Tommy Lee's equal in ability but Tommy Lee was barely able to Beat Brakus and since Tommy owned him in their fight in the first film it is iffy whether or not he could beat Brakus but it would be a damn interesting fight to see.

3. How would other villains/heros from other martial arts films have done against Brakus? Here is a quick list off the top of my head.

Chong Li (Bloodsport)
Tong Po (Kickboxer)
Ivan Drago (Rocky 4)
Isaah Bone (Mike Jai White in BLOOD AND BONE)
Either of the Conlon Brothers (The movie WARRIOR also starring Nick Nolte)
"Zeus" (Tiny Lester from NO HOLDS BARRED)
Mike Tyson himself (in his prime but arena fight not boxing match)
The giant from the movie FEARLESS (actually bigger than Brakus but maybe not as well rounded a martial artist)
Uri Boyka (Undisputed 2 BEFORE knee injury)

4. Lastly, Was Tommy really a superior fighter to Brakus? Think about it Brakus rivaled him at every stage before his ultimate loss, every advantage in speed or agility or maneuverability Tommy had Brakus matched with his incredible size strength and raw power. And skill wise they seemed very equal, as shown with the stick fight. If you remember Brakus had Tommy in a choke hold and Tommy was screwed, he had no way out of the hold and Brakus was about to break his neck. Right after Brakus said "Get ready to join your dead friends) Tommy's friend broke into the arena through the big glass window. Brakus was startled and because of his distraction his almost superhuman strength was for a fraction of a second weakened which gave Tommy just enough time being that his reflexes were lightning fast to break free from his grasp and beat the crap out of him. However, had his friend not shown up (or shown up maybe one second later) he would have had his neck broken. Does this mean that ultimately Brakus was the better fighter? I do not even get how Tommy could have been declared the winner, seems having your friend break into the arena before the fight was over would constitute cheating?

1. i think Alex wouldnt have done too well because of having a bad temper. in their first confrontation, Alex tries to pull a punch out of sheer anger and Brakus blocks it and then throws Alex over the table.
ultimately i think he would have done well in the final fight against Brakus. in the training montage we see that Alex excelled at using the staff. but again i think his anger would be his weakness in the fight.

Travis lost because of his ego. he thought he could go in there and take Brakus out with a one-two punch.

2. DaeHan i suppose would have been quite the opponent because he would very well have fought to the death. whereas Tommy refuses to kill any opponent he faces.

3. i wouldnt really pit any of those figthers against Brakus because they all have their own style of fighting.

4. yes Tommy was a superior fighter to Brakus. the only reason why Tommy wasnt giving it his all until the very end was because he was not focused. his mind was not at ease because he thought that Alex, Walter, his grandmother, etc. were all killed in the explosion. once Alex arrives thats when Tommy gets his second wind because now he knows his friends survived.

As much as I like Tommy, I don't really think these are valid excuses.

His thirst for revenge should have made him fight all the harder against Brakus and even though he did give it his all, Brakus was ultimately superior in sheer strength and size though Tommy had superior speed and skill.

I think Brakus was the fair winner of that fight. If Alex hadn't come in at that moment, Brakus would have definitely killed Tommy.

Very good. But brick not hit back!

Just watched this movie again after a long time.

I agree with your first 2 points. Both Alex and Dae Han wouldn't be able to beat Brakus. Alex doesn't have the strength or skill to match Brakus. I think Dae Han would put up a good fight, but ultimately would still lose. I think Brakus' strength would prove too much for him.

As for some of the other film characters and how I think they'd fare...

Chong Li would go down. He was weak in the gut. Jackson almost beat him and he was an unskilled fighter. Brakus looks as though he'd be stronger than even Jackson plus he has some amount of skill, so he'd take Chong Li without too much effort.

Tong Po....not sure. We never see him get properly challenged. He rolls right over Eric and once Kurt gets his second wind, Po suddenly forgets how to fight, doesn't land a single blow and resorts to silly moves like charging with a flaming torch. I think if he could keep his anger in check he would definitely stand a chance. He warms up by kicking pillars, so he certainly ain't no pussy.

Drago would definitely have a chance too. He's pretty much equal to Brakus in size and strength. Although he is just a boxer, Brakus only uses basic kicks anyway, so that wouldn't be too much of an issue for Drago. Also consider his punching power. Blows of that force without gloves and I don't think Brakus would be on his feet for too long.

Bone, however, I think would definitely win....because he fights SMART. He sizes up his opponents straight away, takes note of their technique, and adjusts his accordingly to counter it. Combine that with his large build/strength, as well as his speed and considerable skill, and I think he would take Brakus no problem.

I won't cover the others cos my post is getting long and I'm getting tired...lol.

Agree with whatever you said about these two.

Agree with what Jonah said about Chong Li and Tong Po. Tong Po was definitely a very tough guy.

Drago definitely has the strength to go against Brakus, but I'm not sure he'd win because he only uses his hands and Brakus was quite skilled with his feet too.

Same goes for Tyson.

I'm not sure about the other guys you mentioned because I haven't seen any of those movies.

As for your final question, I already kinda answered this in my reply to donutpower, but anyway... Brakus was definitely the fair winner of the fight. Tommy was more skilled, but ultimately its comes down to last man standing and Tommy would definitely have been killed if Brakus hadn't been distracted.

On the other hand, I can definitely see Tommy having a chance at winning a rematch if such a thing could have happened, so I'd say they were pretty evenly matched as fighters. Tommy had the skill and speed, Brakus the strength and size.

Some interesting 'versus' that you didn't put up would be Lee (from Enter the Dragon) versus Brakus.

Also Frank Dux. Dux had strength, as well as skill, so that would have been interesting too.

And Hakim Alson's character from Shootfighter: Fight to the Death was also pretty impressive and seemed quite strong too.

Very good. But brick not hit back!

Interesting. Bruce Lee was smaller than Tommy Lee and Tommy was totally dwarfed. I think Brakus was TWICE Bruce Lee's size, maybe slightly more. Bruce weighed about 140 and Brakus probably weighed between 280 and 290 and ALL MUSCLE.
