dvd release

Is there a time frame for this to be released on DVD?? I really enjoyed the movie but haven't seen it for a very long time.

Now celebrating its 15th anniversary, I'd say it's about HIGH time Warner get around to releasing this gem on DVD and/or even Blu-ray. :P Point of fact; I bought a Laserdisc player about 10 years after the death of said format, for the SOLE reason of being able to see this move in its original form and format. Not everybody understand this film, but those who do certainly deserve the chance to see it in a decent release, IMHO. Please?

Since this movie was relatively a flop and a not-well-received film, Warner probably put this on their "low-priority" shelf for DVD transfer. But since it's a Robin Williams headlined flick, Warner may make this part of their "Archive Collection"...where they select films from their archive that are in low demand but make it available for online order, where they make it especially for you.

That's how I got "Doc Savage" and "The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing"...films I've been looking for, for years now.

For the record, "Being Human" is on Laserdisc in Widescreen. I always meant to get it, but it was just one of those titles that slipped through the cracks. It's not a bad film at all, it's actually very intriguing, but not what you'd expect from Williams at that time, and I remember the trailer being very misleading, too, marketed as a full-blown comedy...which it clearly isn't.

This would be great as a double-bill with Bill Forsyth's other misunderstood fantasy, yet many call his masterwork, "Local Hero."

Weird, french Amazon site has it for sale. I don't know if it's only available dubbed in french or both (French and English), because of the comments by an user who bought it saying that it arrived only with french audio, but anyways would be nice to watch this movie again with a decent quality (I mean something better than VHS is decent quality for me).

I don't know why IMDb is not updating the links to buy this movie at Amazon. It is happening to many movies I like, and that have been released on DVD in the past few months/years.

What I mean is that if you click the ''Buy It At Amazon'' link, you will only find VHS releases. But if you search through Amazon you will easily find it.

If you want to buy it on DVD here's the link to Amazon:

By the way, here's a High Quality picture of the cover pertaining to this DVD:

Man, am I good or what?! I posted last year that Warner may release this as part of their Archive Collection. Now, all I need to do is pick the right numbers for the lottery!

I'd really like to see the original 40 minute longer directors cut.
