underated movie of all time

I think John Boorman's The Heretic is the hand's-down winner for "most underrated". If Nic Roeg's Cold Heaven were better known I might pick that.

My guess is that it flew under the radar. Perhaps, it was under marketed.

I had never heard of it. Recently, I was in a thrift store and a VHS copy was in a bin for .50 cents. To me, it was a discovery. I've still got a working VCR so I gave the movie a chance and I am glad I did.

The section set in caveman times really blew me away.

this must be one of his forgotten films-it did not even get a cinema release in Australia!
