Worst Movie of ALL-TIME

Hands down. I actually sat through this atrocity hoping
with every new scene that it would deliver something to take away
and feel like, "oh that's wasn't that bad". But it never happened.
Whenever conversation turns to the worst movies of all time
.this is the first title out of my mouth. And the fact that 99% of the general public has never heard of it, speaks to the fact that it was so bad,
it came and went before others had to endure it.

I agree that this movie is horrible. I watched it for my religion class and it was probably the most boring lump of crap ive ever seen. The peak of my enjoyment was seeing two Sopranos actors breifly in the last story.

Just because something is intelligent and has a message doesnt make it any good. I understood the theme, hell, I had to write a paper on it. Good Will Hunting was better....intelligent and fun to watch

This is the second time I've noticed a comment that a piece of film fiction is being used in a school class. The other time was hearing that Saving Private Ryan was used in a history class. I really don't get it, don't schools use books anymore?

reply

Of course schools still use books. That doesn't mean movies don't have something to teach. Especially in that a film can give a visual, emotional picture to the subject matter, whereas a book can be skimmed - taken for information but not for true understanding.

"judging from your interests it seems you are grossly lacking in sophistication...i -- reccomend-- college for you. were you expecting flubber? this is robin williams best film by a longshot."

Judging from your post. It seems that you are the one who needs to go to college if you can't even spell "recommend" correctly.

reply

That classic show-stopper of internet discussion, pointing out someones spelling mistakes.

reply

"Robin Williams best film by a longshot".....and that is an endorsement? He is definitely the King of Cr_ap.....

reply

Like anyone could even KNOW that, Napoleon!

I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

"judging from your interests it seems you are grossly lacking in sophistication...i reccomend college for you. were you expecting flubber? this is robin williams best film by a longshot."

Judging from that post you seems like you are a huge *beep*

This movie did suck. TERRIBLY!!! It was god-awful and I could never understand why there was such a negative connotation attached to the voice-over---until this movie. There has never been and there may never be as annoying a voice-over as that one. All of it's pseudo-profundity made me what to throw up. And what was with the cave-dweller scene? How is it that that one family lived alone like that? Social hierarchy is a basic component of being human, and yet Robin Williams lived alone in a cave with his family. Explain that.

reply

I disagree. Good Movie. Many are worse.

reply

I totally agree with you - and we kept watching for the same reason.
It was boring and meaningless and totally forgettable except for the exact same fact - when we talk about the worst movie we ever saw that's the one we talk about.

reply

Just because you didn't get it doesn't make it a bad movie. There are philosophical messages in there that aren't "right" by today's standards but are well worth thinking about *if* you have the right mind to do it.

I can tell u why u think it was boring it was because u didnt pay attention to any of the 5 history in this movie, the 5 of them have a meaning.
so they all were attached to each other in some way...it was a great movie and I want to watch it again.

and yes I know whatever I say wont change your opinion , u think the movie suck ok is your opinion

reply

Having never seen this movie (it's on in 20 minutes), I can only say that it can't possibly be as bad as "Taffin", a Pierce Brosnan snooze fest I saw many years ago.

reply

Please tell me how this is worse than House of the Dead?

I just watched it. Not even close to worst movie of all time. It's actually a really well done and philosophical film. It shows how human values have changed through the ages and how much our current technology has changed our perceptions of life and how we live it. Needless to say I really enjoyed it.

Could you honestly say the "Worst Movie of ALL-TIME"? I mean, really? How many movies have you seen. SURELY there are many that are FAR worse.

I didn't really enjoy the movie but I think it's because I don't really like shorts unless they are "powerful". Even though these snippits were all connected, (Someone had a great post on the connections that tied ALL of the characters together which was great!) I didn't get the jist of it. It's a story filled with stories throughout the ages...sure...I get all that. I do expect SOME kind of entertainment value. I was only entertained for a couple of minutes by John Turturro.

No, it wasn't my cup of tea, but I wouldn't say worst movie of all time.

if you think this movie is the worst movie ever then your not trying. so many bad movies out there. this movie was really good and i liked it, if you are moron who like only explosions and one liners its not for you.

reply

why does someone have to be an idiot or someone who only likes "explosions and one liners" just because they didn't enjoy a supposedly profound movie?

anyway, i have this film saved on my dvr. i plan to try it out sometime this week.

"Now I know I'm always right; that's a thought that never even crossed my mind..."

reply

Just because not a lot of people have heard of it doesn't mean it was bad. Some examples of good films that weren't that popular are:

"Begotten"
"Happiness"
"Hard Eight"
and any of Tom Dicillo's films.

Nice hopping.

reply

It was definitely gawd awful; I only watched it for Vincent D'Onofrio's brief role. But not the worst movie of all time...."Comin' at ya", that horrid 3D movie from the early 80's has got to be the worst movie of all time!

oh my Gawd...crack you heart open with a chisel...then maybe you will "get it".
