Some couples do have a big age gap.

So?

A. It's a movie. So he can pretend to be 18-99 as long as he look the part.
B. There are a lot of couples that have age-gaps.
C. I really don't see your point.

I would have never, ever guessed that he was that much older...and you'd think it would be a lot more obvious. No way did he look like he was almost 60 in this movie. He looked great for his age. Could have easily passed for a man in his 40's.

Also, Bonnie Hunt is only 17 years older than Nicholle Tom, who played the oldest daughter.

Mind-freaking blown! Mel Gibson would also be the ideal replacement for Grodin. I mean, we all know who Mel Gibson is.

reply

As a kid, I didn't notice. He actually looks 40 something and she looks 30 something. That's believable. The dialogue about them being the same age was stretching it but as a kid, I didn't notice.

He also sounds like Mel Gibson and Tim Allen.

reply

Interesting, yes, a little with their lower voice.

reply

Mel Gibson is to John Smith and Tim Allen is to Buzz Lightyear.
