I didn't even know there was a another sequel till I watched it yesterday on five in the UK. They changed all the characters and it was clear that another Beethoven movie was not needed from the start - Hollywood, as always were looking for a chance to make money. Who else agrees with me?

Yeah, after the 2nd movie they went completely downhill. The first two are great, but the following ones are horrible.

Its funny as the EXACT same thing happened with Home Alone, the first two were great, it then went downhill with the 3rd and the 4th was beyond LAME.

shareTotally agree!!! I mean in the first two movies, Beethoven is trained and well behaves, but then in 3 and 4, he's NOT?? What's going on there? A dog can't just snap out of his/her training and become a disaster and ruins everything, especially being sooooo well behaved!! Does not make any sense. GRRRRRR to Hollywood for ruining Beethoven, it was fine up until the 3rd one.

I definitely agree with all of these posts they totally messed Bethoven up badly same goes for Home alones too I mean the 3rd one was maybe decent I mean I prefer it over Home Alone 4 the fact that they would have the mccalisters but different ppl an especially Harry and Marve when Marve was a woman in this one who horrible...ugh! Then the Airbuds...yall remember that movie? The first one was good the second one was okay but only cuz they had the original guy and whatnot but now they got like snow buddies and space buddies and all that other crap! If you ask me I think its garbage...just like what they've done to tv these days as far as disney channel and Nickelodeon...especially nickelodeon they just really messed them up. Im so glad to have Bethoven 1 and 2 as a deouble feature so that I can watch them whenever I want too because you know they're not going to ever play it on tv these days.....they replace old good stuff with rotten new crap. But yeah Bethoven 3 4 and 5 are all garbage!

shareYeah I heard about the 3rd a while ago and when I saw that none of the original cast was back I wisely never saw it.
The 2nd while not great I still felt that the people making it gave a shit and were actually trying, from what I can tell after that the sequels seem to be much like the Home Alone sequels, pure and total garbage.
With Home Alone, it's easier to explain because Macaulay Culkin was not involved with the industry after Richie Rich.
shareThe 3rd, 4th, and 5th films were complete trash because the original family was nowhere to be seen and the humor felt immature. The reboot era films proved that Universal wanted to do something different and not go the Home Alone route.
