Jonathan Pryce played the character as cold as ice. Does Henry Kravis sleep in a coffin?

I think "evil" is an overstatement. He's calculating. He also shows his personal side by how he loves and adores his wife (even if not over-emottionally).

Did he divorce her or sacrifice her in some weird ritual in order to live forever? He is kind of like Mr. Burns from The Simpsons in this movie.

He divorced his third wife in 1993..

Actually, Kravitz married his third wife then. Far as I know they are still together.

And then Ross Johnson divorced the wife in his 2nd wife in the movie who was portrayed as the real love match in the movie too. A third followed. Maybe Wall Street is more like Hollywood than we think.

And you noticed how when Ross tried to get everybody in the conference room to discuss a possible collaborative effort, Kravis did not budge or bend one inch to meet anyone half way. It was his way or the highway at every turn. And it was all so he could maintain some appearance within the investment community. He cared more about his reputation, at the expense of the company, than Ross Johnson and his expense account did.
