Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful...

This movie is terrific - witty, hilarious, satirical... beautifully done.

James Garner just kills me in this! I laugh out loud about 20-30 times.

In Mexico senor, these are the years of sadness.

Of the many quotable quotes in the show, the one I remember most is;

(paraphrasing Garner talking about how much money they're going to make)
"We ain't just talking about Big Money...we're talking about F'YOU money!

LoL

How about when he says to the butler at Henry's apartment, "Scotch and soda. No ice, no soda."

when the broker hands johnson his business card while on the toilet...haha
very underrated film...the comical version of "wall street", only this was a true story

The part where they talk about the taste and smell of the cigarette is the funniest part of the movie. And that's saying something because the entire film is hilarious.

Hilarious scene!

"Trust me, okay, we huffed and we puffed and we came up with a filtered Edsel. If I could, I would burn every last one of them, except you can't even set fire to the fuukers."

Favorite line:

"I'm in the middle of a sh%t storm and nobody on this team's got an umbrella!"

I also liked that the characters explained what was happening in a way that the audianace could understand.
Couldn't agree any more.

I thought the device of having what was going on being explained to Johnson's pretty but not too smart 2nd wife by various service people around her and Johnson himself in simple terms was a brilliant device. It let the audience know what was going on, gave insight into her, was an example of how all the confidential happenings got out, and showed what a frenzy the whole thing was in just a few short scenes. My hat is off to the writers on that.

One of my favorite movies of the 1990s, even though it wasn't a theatrical movie.

Yes, one of the best business comedies ever made. James Garner rocked it. Fact I didn't know at the time: Garner was a longtime pot smoker. He was quoted once as saying he smoked weed for 50 years. No wonder he was smiling so much onscreen.
