Tinman?
What does he die of? I know he is sick, but do they say what of?

I think it was Pneumonia that he died of.
Tinman had a hard life before he met Jo. Even she made him stay out in the pouring rain with only a blanket. I'd say he was in his late 30s or 40s or possibly older.
I'm guessing "many years later" is 20-30 years. So I'm not surprise Tinman had died.

He died of old age, which in the Old West could have been a variety of things. We don't know his age when he is introduced in the film, but demonstrates intelligence and wisdom that belies his appearance. He might have been much older than Jo.
