John's 'Catchphrase'

Did John really say "It's all d!ck" all the time back then?

No he didn't according to DJ Bob Woolers book The Best of Fellas, which I had to go to Liverpool to find a copy. I remember being at the premiere of this film when I lived in Liverpool in 1994, I still enjoy going to the Beatle weeks there every August Bank holiday.

I doubt it as well. They were probably trying to just make up a "cool" catchphrase for John to say in the movie. Much like him saying bollocks all the time as if he were johnny rotten. He may have used those phrases, but probably not all the time. Unfortunately we will never know for sure...... :-(

I heard during the early days of The Beatles when morale was low John Lennon would say, 'Where are we going, fellas?' And they would answer, 'To the top, Johnny!' And Lennon said, 'Where's that fellas?' and they would say, 'To the toppermost of the poppermost!' and Lennon said, 'Right!' Then they would all cheer up. But I doubt that was said all the time.
