trailer extra footage ? alternate versions ?

hi

i just watched the trailer and was blown away how many parts of the trailer werent in the movie, and they were all great scenes !!
so maybe some of it was just stock footage/ or shot especially for promo but some scenes might have been edited out i don't know

if anybody knows more please post

does somebody know of extended versions of the movie also ? this one i would really like to see a recut extended edition dvd since its already a good movie maybe it would be a great one.

the trailer had even more of an 80s feel than the movie already has had

I'm sure there were scenes that was edited out for pacing and length. I just saw the trailer and your right some of it does look like stock ski footage they probably threw in there for the trailer other parts looks like it was edited. Many studios especially with these kind of movies sometimes sets running time guidelines like if they wanted this to be under 2hrs then they cut it out for pacing and to please the studio. As for the 80's feel this movie was made in late '92 and released early '93. Anyways I'm sure we will never see any kind of directors cut or a new release with extra footage since it wasn't a big money maker and even today not many know about it but its truly a hidden gem. I did find a bluray
copy but it bar bones has no features and it's only in 2.0 audio but the video quality makes up for the poor audio with 1080p HD 16:9 and it looks good. I wish they would release like a anniversary editikng or special edition with at least a remastered 5.1 audio track but my gut is telling me or most likely won't happen.
