Love this movie...

My brother and I used to watch this film at our family's condo in Vermont whenever we went up skiing. Love it.

One thing I appreciate is that Peter Berg (Dexter) has become a well-known director in Hollywood (Very Bad Things, Friday Night Lights, The Rundown, Battleship, Lone Survivor, to name a few)

Me too! My family has had this movie in our condo in silverthron since it came on video. I actually got a few replica Dex hats from my work when we took over Mt. Brighton, except it says 'is now EPIC' on the back,

I saw this when it first came out with my older bro. I've loved it ever since. Sure it has its problems but what movie doesn't. Overall this was a true hidden gem in '93 and still is today. I still haven't been able to find someone whose seen it. I was lucky enough to see a bluray version at Frys for $4 it's completely bare bones and sadly it's only in stereo 2.0 so your not going to impress anyone with the audio however the video quality makes up for it. It's 1920x1080p 16:9 and it looks good. I wish they would come out with a remastered in 5.1 audio but I doubt they will it'd not exactly a wildly popular movie to spend the time money and attention in remastering it. But hey I'm still happy with my BD version.

Yup my buddies and I would watch it the night before we were going skiing and would try to do some of the things they did in the movie. We got pretty good over the next few years after this movie came out. Now I watch it for nostalgia and I still simply love the movie. It reminds me of when I was young and felt invincible. It was a great time to be alive when this movie came out.
