Okay, I'm NOT sure, but I just watched the Blu-ray version & I swear that @ the beginning when Ash is being sucked into the vortex you could see the cables hanging him @ least I thought you could in the all the DVD versions.
Anyone know if this was digitally altered, a la George Lucas?

the cable is easily visible on the dvd. (not just visible, but glaringly obvious)
It’s ridiculous to critique a movie with the argument 'it's not real, so it doesn't matter'
Can confirm, just paused because of just that, cables are also visible when the car is dropped, the cables that were used to hoist the car up into the air.
