I wasn't sure if it was a thriller or comedy, or a pastiche of both with other elements thrown in. The story began well enough and I liked the play around who was lying to who but the appearance of Felix towards the end and everything that followed was a bit unsatisfactory. For some reason this film reminded me of Abre Los Ojos: A sexy, puzzling film combining surreal and thriller. Both films featured good looking Spanish leads as well. Of the two I preferred La Ardilla Roja.

Btw what did the red squirrel symbolise beyond where Sophia worked?

I enjoyed the mixture of comedy and thriller, with a bit of romance and mystery as well. I actually was enjoying the film well enough all the way through, but when Felix showed up that was the high point to me, it raised the bar of what was going on and the ending was really good. For me, most movies fail at the end more often than not, this one was the opposite, the ending was the cherry on top that made me love it!
