I personally would've loved to have seen a third film continueing the adventures of Bill and Chris.

Same here, I would have loved to see a 3rd film. They don't really do these types of films anymore.

Rosie O'Donnell ruined it.

It is sort of funny because the original film wasn't the biggest hit in the world that year. It did well, but was it necessary to do another film?

The first movie was one of the highest grossing movies for 1987. Sounds like a hit too me. I think this movie had a few problems. Waiting 6 years, The Buddy cop thing that was popular in the 80's was getting burned out by 1993, Rosie. A smaller role could have worked but making her a main character was a mistake and Making Maria a complete psycho didn't help.
