Hey,

My brother ordered me it for my B-Day. I loved it! I loved Donnie the most though. True idiotic character...heh. He fires at a car to shut off the friggin car alarm, he rubs dirt on his face...

I mean, come on, the guy was a true classic idiot.

I just saw it tonight (rented). I was desprate for a movie but nothing new looked good and I like Nicholas Cage and Samuel L. Jackson and I must say I'm glad I rented it!

I don't see the actress listed for the pizza girl. Anyone know who plays her? She looked really familiar to me.

Nevermind... it's Aimee Graham, Heather Graham's sister. I recognize her from some CSI episodes awhile back. Never realized she was Heather's sister even when she was on CSI though. Ya learn somethin new everyday on imdb! :)

I've read accusations on other IMDB boards that Hollywood often uses black people as a tool for a white person's enlightenment. I thought this movie was rather the other way around -- a white person was used as a tool for a black person's self-discovery.

I guess since this film doesn't fit the built-in agendas of a lot of people (e.g. the aforementioned prejudice toward Hollywood), it's ignored. Too bad, because IMO despite the silliness it offers some interesting insights into race issues.

It's odd that many so-called comedy aren't funny but this one, I really cracked up.

Too bad I can't get this in DVD in Japan.

By the way, I saw this Donnie person play some weird role in X-Files. Can't remember which episode it was.

It was the one where he gets executed.

It's called Beyond the Sea and is located in season one. One of Brad Dourif's finest performances imo. love the movie, too, by the way. :)
