They should have a sequel that takes place over a decade later.
It could be called American Samurai 2: American Revenge.
This fighter and reporter get revenge. The Yakuza is back in the sword fighting. The reporter gets revenge on this woman a decade and a half later. The warrior in the final battle faces the host of the tournament that has been going on years ago.
In the sequel Drew has moved on with his life. He and his wife Janet are reporters. They have 2 daughters and a son. All those years there couldn't be proof of this illegal blade fighting.
Interpol Captain Tom Manilli meets Drew. Tom Manilli has an Interpol agent named Xan Yang. He has him infiltrate the blade fighting. The Interpol officers meet the reporters who were a decade and a half ago captured in the blade fighting arena.
Drew does a report on something he was forced into a decade and a half ago. There are warriors from all over the world. Tom Manilli fights yakuza gangsters in gun fights. He kills some. A woman who zapped the reporters is captured by Tom. Xan Yang fights the host of the tournament. It's a blade fight. He defeats his opponent. Everyone else involved still alive is arrested by Interpol. The undercover cop defeats many of his oponenents but he doesn't kill them.
