Not a bad interpretation from a Disney perspective. I think it does a decent job depicting slavery as a bad thing for today's youngsters. It at least should open the door to them asking some questions about it.

I just saw this the other night with my boys and wasn't overly impressed. It didn't translate well to screen. It's impossible to have a perfect novel-to-movie transition, I realize this. But I was disappointed over all.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (the novel) is still as wise, piquant and hilarious today as it was over 100 years ago. Huck's voice still resonates. Twain's satire still incites passion. The novel is an entertainment of the first order and a work of genius. The movie, however, is not.
