I absolutely love this movie!

As always Helen Slater was sheer perfection in the role and Jonathan Silverman is one great comic. I love the part where she asked him if he got lucky and he replied that she got lucky too. And what about those 2 bumbling killers? Forgetting the check under the car? Sheesh The conversation Lisa and Barry had while under there was also quite a laugh. I have seen the movie 5 times since I got the DVD yesterday. Don't care so much for the Director's Audio though. He was not giving any interesting trivia or information about the movie so I foind myself switching back to the main feature instead.

Love, love, love this movie! This is my fave Helen Slater comedy for sure, next to Ruthless People where I loved her deer caught in the headlights facial expressions. I saw most of that coming through in 12: 01 as well.

I wish she had made more films.

Yep, Helen Slater became one of my celebrity crushes the first time I saw The Legend Of Billie Jean. (Hey, I was younger too.)

I thought that getting away with hiding under the truck was just one step more credible than that 25-30 year old Rambler firing right up and peeling out of there on a cold engine the way it did when he had to flee the facility. Just the age of the car with a straight 6 from the 1960s would have been more cold-natured than that.

I at first thought it was also a gaffe that the Rambler would be a match for the newer V8 truck, but when I rewatched it I noticed that in the chase scene the truck was outrunning the Rambler and it was Barry outdriving and ultimately outsmarting the bad guys that enabled him to get away.

Lu-21, I'm with you all the way! I had forgotten how much I love Helen Slater. The new TV version of Supergirl inspired me to watch the 1984 movie recently, which I hadn't seen in 30 years, and I was reminded of how hard I fell for her back then. With all those fond memories rekindled, I got interested in watching more of her movies. 12:01 and Billie Jean are my faves. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed 12:01, since I'm not usually a fan of made-for-TV movies. But this was superbly entertaining and gripping right to the very end. She and Silverman had great chemistry (apparently they had dated at one time) and the time loop machinations were fun.

It was okay. My favorite character was Jeremy Piven. Not as good as Groundhog Day IMHO.
