Tonight's Episode (SPOILER ALERT)

I thought they ended it well, but they left it wide open again

1. Is the smoking man REALLY dead this time?
2. William is alive, so naturally someone will come after him
3. How the hell is Scully pregnant when they told her she can't have kids unless they lied?
4. Is Skinner dead or was he just knocked out under the SUV?

They should just make a third movie, reveal everything and end it...

reply

If missile fire couldn't take out the Smoking Man, where we saw his face melt off, then a few bullets aren't going to take him out either.

As I've theorized many times over the last 20 years, Smoking Man is not entirely human, if at all.

reply

Smoking Man is definitely not entirely human. And no way does he die from a couple pot shots to the chest. Skinner's not dead. Nothing actually happened in this finale at all. It was just a big chase scene and everybody got away.

reply

Agreed, I think Skinner was waiting it out, before making a move--or was just simply knocked out. Mitch Pileggi would certainly return for Season 12.

reply

Everyone is still alive and this episode didn't even really happen. We'll find out in another 15 years.

reply

^ This lol

reply

Dunno, Reyes looked pretty dead to me :D, b/c the actress realized she couldn't handle even one more episode of this mess.

reply

1. No, but I don't think that would surprise any of us
2. Most likely
3. I don't know if this really matters, it happens all the time in the real world - women are told they cant have children and what happens...they have children
4. I think he's alive

Carter always says he has/there are more stories to tell (which could be said about any series honestly); so If they do another final movie that would be great, just as long as it steers clear of being anything like I Want to Believe.

reply

The finale was not that good. This whole season was an imitation of other shows. It seemed more like The Gifted or something.

reply

Lol, at least The Gifted had proper editing and story flow.

This on the other hand felt it was chopped up a fucking chimpanzee smashing keyboard buttons.
I kept losing focus b/c of how awkwardly it would cut back and forth from one scene to another.
I was like: "Whaaat? Whoo? Where? WTF is going on, man? Could this shit slow down a little with the jump cuts?"

Case in point: when William was picked up by some agent guy who was tracking Mulder, cut to next scene, William is fine and already at the girlfriends house, cut to another scene. Some expendables find that agent guy exploded inside his car. So, if agent guy tried to tackle William and he exploded him inside, where's the blood and guts on Williams clothing when we see him at the house?

Why did CSM and Reyes follow William themselves? since when did he start doing all the dirty work? Shoudn't he have at least a few lackeys to do his bidding? Was he going to release the virus by himself too? running around aerosol spraying people like a lunatic? Hahahahha.

So much fail, Christ Carter. You terrible hack and you can't write for shit :>D

reply

Ugh. I was thinking 4 episodes to finally kill off the terrible storyline of William. I was willing to forgive that terrible finale.

And then Chris Carter just can't help himself :(
