Anyone got the computer video game?

The one for like Windows 3.1 / 3.11?

I used to play that thing ALL the time.

Is that the 1994 version with the video phone in the game, relatively new places to go like Bamako, Mali and native Aboriginal music for Sydney? If so, yes, I've had it since 1995.

reply

It probably is.

Like the interface is like a telephone on the left and like some video/page/notes in the middle.

Have you gotten it to work on XP?

Ever since I started using a new OS--first windows 98se--I haven't been able to get the game working and I would love to play it again once in a while.

I had that. Didn't like it much,

Where In The USA was a lot better.

I have the SNES one.

I never think about the future, it comes soon enough

reply

Sorry, but I've only got the NES version...the one that was packed with the encyclopedia/dictionary thing.

God, the memories...

reply

I could have sworn the game was older than that. I can remember it, along with the Oregon Trail, being available for the Apple IIe on 5 1/4" floppies.

reply

I have the SNES version, it came with a world almanac, but the only section I really used was the flags.

The original game is definitely older. The question should be who DIDN't play the game back then. Most schools had the game available on apple IIe as an educational tool. It was basically a series of questions you had to get right to capture Carmen and her gang.
