Best And Worst Season Of Walker?

What does everyone here consider to be the best season of Walker, as well as the worst season of the series? I just started watching the show via reruns, so I'm just curious. Thanks!

I've always liked the first season the best, when it was just good old-fashioned crime-solving, none of that jumping the shark type storylines we see later, I enjoy it, but the first season was imo the best. I don't really have a worst season, I liked them all.

I consider season 1 the best. I didn't like season 4 much (the season that contains Neighborhood and 99th Ranger) because there were way too many kid friendly episodes and way too much Jesus talk.

Yeah but mustn't forget classics such as Trial Of Larue and Days Past. I know you're not a fan of Larue but gotta admit Trial was pretty suspenseful and one of a kind.

yES, GOTTA ADMIT THAT. tRIAL OF lARURE IS FUINNY. And awesopme at the same time. I like the ending where CD says he never liked to see a dead body, but in Larue's case it gave him peace of mind, and Jimmy confirmed that.

Days Past - definitely one of the best Walker episodes. It didn't get featured in Conan O'brien "walker lever" if it wasn't remarkable. There is nothing funny about this episode, but gotta give thanks to Conan for kickstarting Walker in the mid 00's.

Father's Image is also a classic. Not a particularly funny epiosde, but awesome and hardcore.

Oh yeah I love A Father's Image primarily because one of my favorite actors Dan Lauria, guest-starred.

I believe that quality-wise the series improved after Chuck Norris himself took over production and creative control of the series. In earlier season the plots were kind of hokey but once Chuck took charge there was a signifacant improvement. Back in 1970s Hawaii 5-O was the coolest cop show. I tend to think of Walker, Texas Ranger as a Hawaii 5-O with karate! ☺

reply

Yeah but I loved the more simplistic basic villains in the first few seasons, they got way more cartoony later on which is still awesome!

I don't know... I personally think the first 3 seasons are the best. In season 4 is where it takes this religious, kiddy approach. But seasons 1-3 are more mature. That's how I feel. After season 4 they just kept repeating the same themes - always some kind of young gangbanger or somw teen confused about his/her values. But Lucas proved Chuck could write a helluva story.

Frank Lupo was the producer back then, if I'm not mistaken. Seasons 1-3 wil always be the best, for me personally at least.

I'd say Walker peaked around season 5 or 6
