1993

Was it ever explained why all of the time-traveling fugitives wound up in 1993, as opposed to any other year in the past?

Originality needs a reboot.

reply

Probably because it was exactly 200 years before 2193- when the future was taking place.

Although there were a few who for some reason appeared prior to 1993 and were able to spend a long time there before Darien encountered them. Like the old cowboy sheriff, I believe he said he'd been living in the 20th century for 20 or 30 years when Darien caught up to him.

reply

IT was probably a default setting. "Automatically send back exactly 200 Years". Others who went back to other Times woudl do so on request, but most Criminals just went back to the default as they were in a hurry and didn't care.

Imagine one who went to, say, 1893...Darien won't catch him, now will he?

Maybe a few other Tiem Travelling Cops went back for them?

I had a similar issue with Brimestone (Teri Polo & the guy from 30 something). Where nearly all of the damned souls reenter the Earth by way of L.A.!

reply

To be fair the first Episode or two were in NYC

reply

It makes sense they all came thru in LA. California and LA are Hell on Earth.

reply

Probably lie the other person said. It was the default. There was also the episode where Sambei sent the nuclear waste into the future also exactly 200 years into the future. If he had sent it sometime else they may not have caught on so quick and sent warning to Darien.
