I've noticed other programs ("Jeffrey" for one) being cut to ribbons by the LOGO channel but I was very VERY surprised and dismayed to see "Tales" cut as badly as it was.

It really defeats the purpose of airing these movies at all, I know. I'm guessing it's because they're erring on the absolute side of caution since they are really the first gay network, and there are probably hordes of religious right fanatics ready to pounce on them and report them to the FCC for even the briefest crotch shot.
Such a sad, ridiculous time in which we live.

The FCC has no jurisdiction over the content on cable TV channels. Cable channels that censor their content do so for other reasons, such as the fear of losing advertisers.
