Well here's the thing.

You can't show the "entire" thing in 4 hours.

There are 6 episodes (some people insist 13, that seems unlikely).

Each episode, without commercials, is 45 minutes.

Thats 270 minutes nonstop - 4 1/2 hours.

ION tv has it broken down into 3 "Chronicles"

[whether Riddick or Narnia is unknown ;-) ]

So, its either 6 episodes (possibly 5, 4, or god help us 3)

re-edited into some new just for TV thing

(as Universal did with Original Galactica or TCF did with Time Tunnel)

or maybe its just 3 one hour shows puffed up to 4 hours with so

many commercials you'll want to gouge your eyes out by 9pm.

In any event don't forget this was a show so bad/unpopular the

network cancelled it after ONE EPISODE AIRED ! ! ! !

***An update after the ion airing***

It was all six episodes edited down to 180 minutes of running time.

That's an average of 15 minutes per episode cut, some of which would have been

redundant main titles and closing credits. Story development, such that it

was, suffered greatly. Easy to see why CBS canned this, it was awful.

I can't help but think that those people posting positive comments are

actually thinking of "Space: Above and Beyond"

Call it nostalgia or what have you, it's a fun show to watch and was when it first aired. My wife and I are watching, bad sfx or not!

Good Lord, WallyB, can you pile on any more negativity? You say the show is terrible, imply that cancellation is proof of bad tv, the way Ion edited it is terrible, thus turning a horrible show...horrible. People couldn't possibly like it, and must be confused.

I liked it. I thought it was a grimy, visceral, sexy answer to all the uniformed, antiseptic sci-fi that usually plays on tv. Not a classic, but also not given its due.

You can spray me with your attitude now, if you like. I realise it's the price one pays for feeding a troll.
